Bill Pay
Q. What is Bill Payer and how do I get
it?
A. Bill Payer allows you to pay your bills with just a click anywhere
that you have a PC. Accessible through the Internet from our Home
Banking page, Bill Payer will allow you to set up your bills, including
monthly recurring bills. You can pay unlimited bills, and it is
free! You can sign up for our bill payer service online today. Simply
sign on to Home Banking, click on the
bill payer icon, then choose "click here to register"
and follow the easy online instructions.
Q. What if I have a problem with our Bill
Payer?
A. Contact us at 281-856-5300 or 800-456-3228 during normal business hours.
We will be able to assist you with these issues.
Q. When are funds debited
from my checking account?
A. On the process date, the Bill Payment processor generates and
ACH debit (in the amount of the bill payment) to your checking account.
Your checking account will be debited within two banking business
days.
Q. What do payees actually receive?
A. Electronic payees receive payment information in an electronic
format that credits their account. Non-electronic merchants or individual
payees receive a laser-printed paper check sent through the U.S.
Postal Service.
Q. What is the lead-time for processing
payments?
A. The payee will be in receipt of payment within three (3) banking
business days for an electronic payee and five (5) banking business
days if the payee is paid by check.
Q. What if an existing payee on my Bill
Payer account has a company name change?
A. You cannot change the name of an existing payee. First, if the
payment is recurring for the old company name, go into that payee
listing and delete all the pending payments. DO NOT DELETE THE PAYEE.
If you delete the payee with the old company name you will lose
your payment history. The next step is to set up a new payee with
the new company name.
Q. Who do I contact if I need to close
my Bill Payer Account?
A. If you would like to close your Bill Payer Account, contact the
credit union at
(281) 856-5300 or 800-456-3228, or email
us. Do not contact Bill Pay Support to close your account. |
