Overdraft Options
Emergencies happen, we’ve got you covered.
We currently offer multiple overdraft options on your checking account to protect you from insufficient funds. An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway. We can cover your overdrafts in the following ways:
Overdraft Transfers
When you don’t have enough money in your available balance in your checking account to cover a transaction, we automatically transfer money from your FCCU Credit Card, line of credit or savings account for a small fee.
Overdraft Privilege (ODP)
This allows FCCU to overdraw your checking account in order to pay transactions up to a pre-determined ODP limit. A fee is charged each time we pay an overdraft. Please see the fee schedule below.
For overdraft transactions under $51, we will not charge for these transactions. A fee will appear in your account but will be refunded the next business day.
FCCU will strive to pay your reasonable overdrafts as a discretionary courtesy and not a right or obligation up to the pre-determined ODP limit on your account including the ODP fee for each transaction as long as your account remains in good standing.2
